On Saturday, June 13, 2015, the Cape Vincent Arts Council sponsored the fourth "A Celebration of Quilting" show. This exhibition showcased the work of artisans who quilt in Cape Vincent. This year over 30 people submitted over 50 items. This show was an exhibition not a competition. Demonstrations include: Quilting 101, Needle turn applique, Crafting with shirred and needle felted wool and Using an accuquilt. This year's show was dedicated to three quilters we lost over the last 2 years: Marybeth Hoag, Marilyn Mason, and Margo O'Brien. It is anticipated that the next Cape Vincent Quilt Show will take place Saturday, June 10, 2017, at the Cape Vincent Recreation Park. Many thanks to all who helped and all who attended.
