About the Competition
The Thousand Islands International Piano Competition
The Thousand Islands International Piano competition will be celebrating its 11th year along the beautiful St. Lawrence River when it holds the 2013 competition at Maple Grove Estate in Cape Vincent. The primary focus of this event is to provide a venue for exceptional young pianists who perform and share their music in the nurturing and confidence-building atmosphere provided in this St. Lawrence community. In return these budding young artists bring the joy of live classical music to the Thousand Islands. Each year a special bond is created between community residents and performers.

How can you support young people in the arts who have a real life mission?
There’s a place for everyone who would like to be a part of this unique opportunity. We welcome your help, interest and support. The Thousand Islands Competition is created almost solely through volunteerism. We would welcome your help as: 1) a host family to a competitor, 2) a provider of practicing space if you won a piano). 3) a volunteer on a given competition day, or 4) being part of the listening audience.
Our funding comes from community donors, area businesses and fund-raising events. If you would like to be a part of our musical future, call the Cape Vincent Arts Council at 315-654-2413 or use the Donate link at the bottom of the page.
